The space between each semilunar valve and the wall of the aorta.

Build up of plaque in the arteries

Upper chamber of the heart where the blood enters the heart. There are 2 atria, the left and right.

Artery supplying blood to the myocardium. There are left and right coronary arteries which then subdivide. They arise from the aorta.

The coronary arteries drain into these and blood leaves the coronary circulation through them.

A heart attack, i.e. arrhythmias/cardiac arrest caused by a disruption in the flow of blood in the coronary vessels.

Lower chamer of the heart. Blood is expelled from these and leaves the heart. There are 2 ventricles, the left and right.
